1. SIMEON BOSSILLIER lived in Rouen, France ca 1500. He married Sophie Marie Jamine. Their oldest son was:

  • 2 i. Victor Bossillier

2. VICTOR BOSSILLIER was born in Rouen, France. He married Lena Priesser of Stockholm, Sweden. They were living in Nantes, France, where he had moved to take possession of a large estate inherited from an uncle, but fled ca 1585 because of the Hugenot persecutions. They settled in Basle, Switzerland. He practiced the weaving of cloth to earn a living Their children were:

  •     i. Frederick John Bossillier, m. Rosa Von Koenig

  • 3. ii. Pietro Simeon Bossillier, m. Wilhelmina Helfinstein, daughter of the    Burgemaster of Basle, Switzerland

  •     iii. Sophia Lena Bossillier, m. Yorick Von Damsted

 

3. PIETRO SIMEON BOSSILLIER married Wilhelmina Helfenstein of Basle, Switzerland and the children were:

  • 4. i. John Simeon Bosilor, m. Susannah Dirsh

  •     ii. Simeon Pietro Bosilor, m. Mary Kepple

4. JOHN SIMEON BOSILOR married Susannah Dirsh and their children were:

  • 5. i. Johannes Yorick Bassler

  •     ii. Marie Susannah Bassler

  •     iii. Peter Simeon Bassler

  •     iv. John Simeon Bassler

5. JOHANNES YORICK BASSLER was Prime Minister in Germany in 1689. He was tall, fair, blue eyed and sandy bearded. He married Lisa Winterhousen and their children were:

  • 6. i. Johannes Bassler

  •     ii. Wilhelm Bassler

  •     iii. Hinrich Bassler

  •     iv. Susannah Bassler

Note: This is by tradition - Three brothers came to America from Franford (Frankfort), Germany, sons of Johannes Yorick Bassler, Prime Minister in the year 1689. It is likely that the way they signed their names that the "a" appeared to be an "o" and this then continued.
